When the peat and muck was cleaned off this piece of bog oak it revealed an amazing combination of continuous coil spring like curves in the wood and the grain – every part is twisting and turning but flowing smoothly and gracefully in different directions. Like a flower or plant at dawn it is stretching and straining itself to the limit towards the sun to maximise the absorption of the sun’s life giving rays.
