I needed a circular piece of bog oak to use as a plug on another sculpture to conceal a bolted connection so I holed sawed a circle from this flat offcut that was in the workshop and the result was this head profile with eyes that you can look through. We are all familiar with the expression "to look through someone!". I found another unique offcut to create a base to mount the head on and have left the original course grain of the bog oak on the edge profiles of both sections.
