When I cleaned this piece down for the first time I could see an ancient Bard sitting with his arms and legs crossed on a tree stump beside a camp fire at night in a dark forest telling spine-tingling stories of the underworld and mythical legends. I sculpted his head from the surrounding wood but the rest remained as it came from the bog. The bog oak wood is so hard that the wood grain and contours are almost rock like.
