An ironic story of  a sleigh shaped piece of bog oak thousands of years old carrying an iconic Irish Bord na Mona peat briquette. Thousands of years ago it was this peat that preserved this oak from extinction but now the peat briquette is extinct. With the termination of turf cutting and peat harvesting, bog oak and bog peat will again lie together for millennia.
